I used to live in Sydney and Miss Chu was one of my favourite places to get Vietnamese street food. The summer rolls are fresh and made to order plus their specials change regularly so there’s always something new to try.
But why am I mentioning a Sydney restaurant? Because my foodies, Miss Chu has jumped the pond and opened up a hole-in-the-wall cafe at Aldgate East.
The food at Miss Chu is very well priced. So don’t expect to spend over 15 pounds unless, like me, you order everything on the menu.
My favourite dish is the duck summer roll with banana flowers.
Insider Tip! Don’t forget to check the blackboard full of specials and dessert dumplings by the register.
