What I really want to say to my dad this Fathers Day

Screen Shot 2014-09-07 at 02.58.17My family lives in Sydney, making this Sunday Fathers Day, and if anyone deserves to be praised on this blog it’s my dad.

The two of us have a very special relationship. My dad is my mentor, role model, business advisor, confidante and all round hero. I’ll never forget us going to the Coyote Ugly bar in New York and dad cheering me on as I danced on their tables while bras were flung across the room. (Not mine I would like to point out!)

Together we can solve anything and I know he supports me unconditionally, no matter how big or lofty the dream. The ironic thing is, now that I have left home I am enjoying my relationship with my parents much more than when we were all under one roof.

So in honour of Fathers Day here are some honest cards that I am sure almost every father and child can relate to. Who else has a hilarious dad story they would like to share?

Hi there! It was an absolute pleasure to meet you yesterday (we chatted about rainbow cake and how American artificial dye is made of magical witchcraft). I’ve been really loving your blog today and I can’t wait to read more. My mum lives in Sydney too (I’m half Australian) and my Dad lives in France so I totally understand the Long-Distance-Family thing. I loved this post a lot! Stay in touch! <3
