Flying over the Great Barrier Reef

Mister C is being treated to a two week tour of Australia, all with the rather selfish aim of convincing him to move over here with me. During our first week I surprised him with a secret holiday to Hamilton Island. He was woken at 6 a.m. and told to dress for a beach walk. Next thing you know, he is at the airport with his bag already packed and heading on a two hour flight over the Whitsundays- mouth still on the floor. Tough life.

DSC03887Naturally if you want someone to fall in-love with Australia you cannot do anything by half measures. So on our second day of our holiday within a holiday, we boarded a boat  to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef.

DSC03910As you can see the stinger suits are a rather sexy number, which really flatter your shape. (cough……)

Feeling like Ariel with the fish under the sea.

DSC04003Although we boated there, we decided to fly back in style. The three of us boarded a private helicopter and had our breathe taken away. You can only truly appreciate the Great Barrier Reef from this perspective and  we even got to snap a few photos of the famous Heart Reef.

As you can see from my face I was truly delighted with the trip and couldn’t have felt more spoiled- two helicopter flights in one week. Wow!
